Comrades started their pre-season schedule with a win over Albert Foundry at Dixon Park.
The hosts opened the scoring on 18 minutes when a shot from Nathan Best forced the keeper to parry the ball out and Lewis Mearns was on the spot to convert.
Towards the end of the half a flurry of goals put Comrades firmly in control. It started in the 42nd minute with a fine Nathan Best shot from the edge of the area giving the keeper no chance.
Two minutes later, the hosts made it 3-0. Jack Johnston robbed an opponent in the middle of the park and drove forward before feeding Ryan McMenemy. He then played the ball across the box to Lewis Mearns who made an easy finish. On 45 minutes the home side got a fourth goal when Jack Johnston played the ball across to Ryan McMenemy who made a close range finish at the back post.
Comrades continued to impress in the second half. In the 56th minute they added another goal when a mishit shot fell kindly to Zach Anderson in the box and he took the opportunity with ease.
Just before the final whistle a sixth goal was scored as Korey Kidd squeezed the ball inside the post with an effort from inside the area.
