Comrades lost out to Loughgall in a tough pre-season match at Dixon Park.

The game was evenly contested early on, but it was the visitors who grabbed the lead on 29 minutes when the ball was squared to McLaughlin in the box and he made a simple finish.

Just as Loughgall began to dominate, Comrades got an equaliser. In the 36th minute Ryan McMenemy found the top corner of the net from 16 yards after being found by Nathan Best.

Comrades finished the half strongly and went in deservedly level at the break.

Seconds after the restart Loughgall restored their lead. This came in unfortunate circumstances for the hosts as the ball rebound between keeper and defender and looped into the net.

Despite Comrades looking threatening going forward, the visitors were also dangerous in attack. They added to their advantage on 67 minutes when Stewart outstripped the home defence and produced a calm finish past the advancing keeper.

Loughgall completed the scoring in the 79th minute with Murphy converting after the ball had come back off the post.
